Competition Details:
- Ages 6-9: Create a new time system for Mars. Design a clock that Martians would use and compare it to Earth’s time system. Think about Mars’ day and year length!
- Ages 10-12: Design a time system for the Moon. Create a clock for astronauts and contrast it with Earth’s time system. Consider the Moon’s unique day-night cycle!
Design Requirements:
- Illustrate your clock design.
- Explain how your time system works.
- Show the differences and similarities compared to Earth’s time system.
- Use math and coding concepts to support your design.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Design (60%): Creativity, practicality, and visual appeal of the clock design.
- Explanation (40%): Clarity, accuracy, and depth of the explanation, including the use of math and coding concepts.
